Installation Method: Vinyl is glued to the deck surface and the seams are heat-welded together to create a watertight seam. Typically, the vinyl is run up the wall 6” and over each edge 3” to create a completely waterproof surface.
Installation Options: Must be installed by authorized and trained contractors only. Material cannot be sold as supply only to end user for “do it yourself” application.
Preferred Application Surface: ¾” tongue and groove select fir plywood.
Cure Time: None – Duradek can be walked on and enjoyed immediately following application.
Yes you can but ensure that it is no more than 1500 psi (max) and you are holding the nozzle a minimum of 12” from the deck surface. Be sure to avoid seams, railing attachments, caulking, and any house trims.
To remove snow load, shovel the deck with a plastic edged snow shovel. Try to shovel with the seams vs against to prevent from catching on them. When it comes to ice, you can use kitty litter or ice melt. We do not recommend the use of ice chippers as they may damage the vinyl. When using these products, ensure that you sweep off any excess material once the ice is gone and that the deck receives a thorough wash in the spring. Washing the deck early in the spring will prevent the sun from baking on any of the residues that may have been left behind by the products used.
